History:

Cayley was born and raised in the Forest. His parents own a small trading company that ships out to the other biomes and, in rare cases, even far off regions, via plane. So, flying had always been a large part of Cay's life--including when he got his first Pokemon, a Spearow. Where his sister asked for a Grass type Pokemon, Cay desperately wanted a bird Pokemon, which he always admired watching from his house in the trees. When recieving his Spearow, which he named Albireo, he was excited for a lifelong partnership--and it was to his dismay to find out just how difficult it was to train. The stubborn little bird was in constant battle with the equally stubborn little boy. However it was really just time that was needed, and the two slowly bonded.
When Cay was around fifteen years old, his parents began preparing him for taking over the family business as, after all, he was the oldest, though Cay was never too interested in it. He was taken on a few flights, which he enjoyed, but he would always say he'd prefer riding on a Pokemon than in a plane. As his later teenage years settled in his desire to escape his parents' influence grew, and shouting matches were frequent. During one such match, he stormed to his room where Albireo sat--Albireo (then evolved) was already upset with all the shouting, and Cay upturning his room in anger unsettled the bird even more. When Cay turned to him, the bird threw up it's claws in fear, which slashed his owner's right eye. The experience was not great for anyone, Cay felt terrible for upsetting Albireo so much to do that. He does thank him too, for since then he has kept a better check on his anger.
With one eye damaged, Cay wouldn't be able to fly planes, and when he was nearing twenty years of ages he finally confessed to his parents that taking up the family business was just not in his interest. They relented, and Cay went off doing much volunteer work, especially for abandoned Pokemon. He opened up his own a few years later, specifically for bird Pokemon, where he acquired many others on his team. Along with this work he also does local deliveries of mail and parcels, riding atop his Dodrio, or flying across the forest on his Flygon.

Additional Notes: He wears his goggles when either riding Pollux or Rastaban. If asked about his eye, he'll probably make up a different story every time. Often when he handles Albireo, he uses a falconing glove. He sometimes likes racing with Pollux.

Battle Tactics: Relies on offence and speed--not really one to make a battle plan. In double battles he often uses one of his birds with Rastaban, to use Earthquake.

Personality: He's pretty grumpy--approach with caution. See that eyepatch? It's cause of Albireo that it's there. That said, he is very loyal, and does care deeply about his trainer--he just isn't too great at showing it.

Short History:

Al was Cay's first Pokemon, which he got as just a Spearow. He trained him all on his own, which wasn't without it's hardships (see: eyepatch). It took some years, but eventually the two bonded. It may be hard to see, since Albireo doesn't really show his affection to his trainer, but it is truly there. Cay enjoys taking him flying with him, and uses him to hunt.

Personality:  Sarin was quiet at first, but turns out she's a big baby. She loves attention and is very friendly to other people. When it comes to other Pokemon, though, she'll usually puff out her chest to challenge them. As if to battle for all the attention. She loves battling, but only does so to please--if no one is around to watch, she will refuse.

Short History:

Cay came upon Sarin when someone dropped her off to him, saying her owner was nowhere to be found. This wasn't too unusual for Cay, so he took care of her as he would any bird Pokemon dropped off to him. This was his first case with a Hawlucha, though--he had always been fascinated by them, and Sarin was no different. He grew so attached to her he decided to take her in.

Ability: Early Bird [awakens quickly from sleep]

Personality: Polly is nervous around others, but adores Cay--you'll always see him around Cay, if he's ever out of his Pokeball. Being shy, he hides all his heads behind his owner as if that'll cover him up. If given some time and space, though, Polly will warm up to others and  stick one of his beaks on the lap for a head scratch.

Short History:

Polly was very ill when Cay found him, and nursed him back to health. Which sounds easy, but really wasn't--there were many cases Cay thought he would lose him. Polly eventually came around, and after all the devotion to healing him, Cay adopted him. Although perhaps the most intimidating of Cay's Pokemon, he isn't used in battle (in fear it'll be too much of a strain on him). However he carries Cay around all the time, and has even participated in races.

Personality: Rastaban is very quiet and dignified. He doesn't really mingle with Cay's other Pokemon, but when out of the Pokeball he'll follow Cay around at the heels. He's like Cay's "guard dog". Although he doesn't get really get along with Cay's other Pokemon, he usually plays and takes care of the Pokemon Cay takes in at the bird rescue.

Short History:

Rastaban was given as a gift to Cay. He wasn't too sure why he would be given this Pokemon (then a Trapinch), and was close to trading him away. His thing was bird Pokemon, this was nothing like that. For reasons that escape him, he kept Rastaban around, who eventually grew into a Flygon. Cay's fondness of him also grew, and uses him to fly around the region.
